#178 In the studio: Creatures in motion con't . . .

Painter Richard Schmid interpreted
Mallard Duet in conte and oils

The sculptor must be in search of the essence of motion and
form and understand how the creature's body works.

A work of art must not be something
that leaves the viewer unmoved . . .
something passed by with a casual glance.
It has to be moving, make the viewer react,
feel strongly, start creating too . . .
if only in the imagination.
